Mid QA Engineer

We are looking for experienced Testers who see quality as a key element of building a great product. As a QA Engineer at Strix, you will have a real impact on the development of modern e-commerce solutions — working closely with our Polish project team and the client.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting quality at every stage of the project: from improving processes and identifying risks to implementing automation tools and solutions across multiple teams.

You will join a group of experienced specialists with whom you will co-create projects from the initial concept all the way to deployment. This is an environment where your skills truly matter, and your decisions have a direct impact on the final outcome.

• BrowserStack (or comparable tools, e.g. iOS Simulator, SauceLabs, Lambda Test, etc.)

• Performance measurement and optimization tools (Google PageSpeed ​​Insights (Lighthouse), GTMetrics)
  

Responsibilities:

• Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating activities related to software testing or quality assurance.

• Designing and planning scenarios for manual and automated end-to-end tests.
  

• Select and apply appropriate test techniques to ensure that the tests provide the appropriate level of confidence, based on project coverage.

• Selecting the right tools to automate your technical testing tasks.

• Effective participation in reviews with software developers and architects, using knowledge of common defects in code and architecture.

• Improving the quality characteristics of code and architecture by using various analysis techniques.

• Collaborate with developers to train them in effective testing techniques (including exploratory testing).

• Creating test plans / strategies and participation in the creation of test documentation and test scenarios.

• Quality assurance at every stage of software development and spreading good practices in this area.

• Min. 3 years of experience in a similar position.

• Experience in risk assessment and reduction, solving quality problems and implementing changes aimed at improving the efficiency of programming.

• Experience in the e-commerce industry (necessary requirement).

• The ability to define the quality goals of a project or a team and to measure them.

• Knowledge of various forms of testing (unit, integration, acceptance, exploration, performance).

• Knowledge of regression testing.

• Co-creation of test documentation: test cases / scenarios, checklists.

• Knowledge of: JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

• Practical knowledge of working with GIT.

• Knowledge of issues related to API testing with the use of e.g. Postman, SoapUI.

• Ability to work in a scrum / agile environment team.

• Knowledge of Polish at min. B2.

• Knowledge of English - at a level that guarantees efficient communication and free work with technical documentation.

Nice to have:

• ISTQB Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst or Test Analyst certifications.

• Experience testing projects on Magento 2 (or comparable e-commerce platform).

• Experience in Cypress test automation and knowledge of Gherkin syntax.
